CONCEAL CARRY CLASS (FOR SOUTH CAROLINA)
This is a mandatory 6 hour class by state mandate for all students wishing to obtain their Conceal Weapons Permit. In this class, you will receive instruction on state law, obligations of a CWP carrier, parts & operation of the handgun, safe storage of the firearm, and techniques for improving the skills needed for accurate shot placement. If you need anything for this course please contact us so we can get you straight prior to the start of class.
Students are responsible for:
Semi-Automatic Handgun or Revolver (If you do not have a firearm contact us)
50 rounds of Ammunition
Ear Protection
Eye Protection
This in-depth course teaches major aspects of safely employing your firearm in a training situation when you need to employ your Everyday Carry. Students will spend time on the range learning various techniques to better carry your firearm with your CWP. The following are a few of the areas covered in this course:
Safe gun handling rules
Shooting fundamentals
Shooting position and techniques
Selecting the right handgun to purchase
Continued opportunities for skills development
Basic Handgun Safety & Marksmanship
This in-depth course teaches all major aspects of safely owning and operating a handgun. The only thing the student is responsible for bringing is a firearm, a good attitude, and any cleaning supplies you have for the firearm. Students will spend time in the classroom learning about firearms. The following are a few of the areas covered in this course:
Safe gun handling rules
Parts and operation of pistols
Ammunition components and operation
Shooting fundamentals
Shooting position and techniques
Cleaning the handgun
Selecting the right handgun to purchase
Continued opportunities for skills development
This course will teach you a valuable shooting skill that will make you a better shooter whether in combat or as a citizen. This class is a continuation from Basic Handgun with more techniques that will challenge your limits in any condition and will cover:
Drawing from the Holster
Multiple Target Engagement
Strong Hand and Weak Hand Shooting
Magazine Changes/Revolver Ammo Changes
Clearing Malfunctions
Students will need to bring at least 500 rounds for their weapon
This course will introduce you to the introduction of weapon systems on the AR platform. The techniques and knowledge learned from this course will be beneficial for the manipulation of this course. This course will take you through training that has helped Soldiers and citizens who have sought out the training to use their weapon system. This course will cover:
Safety
Sight Alignment
Trigger Squeeze
Breathing
Body Position
Zeroing the Weapon
Zeroing to the Optic (if available)
This course is a follow on from Carbine 1. You will learn advanced techniques that will bring a knowledge base that will drive you to continue to challenge yourself. The techniques being taught in this course has been taught to Soldiers and officers of the law. Students should bring a handgun with at least three magazines and a holster for the weapon and magazines. This course will cover:
Shooting on the move
Multiple target engagement
Strong and reaction side shooting
Malfunctions
Barricade shooting
Shooting with a secondary weapon (Optional)
In this class, we will tackle your interest in getting into Competition Shooting. This class will get you going in the right direction when it comes to shooting within the USPSA. In this class, we will cover Gear, Classification, Matches, Point System, Rules, & Stage Analysis, and Breakdown. For this class the following gear is recommended:
Closed-toe shoes
Ear and Eye Protection
Bug Spray
Sun Screen
Drinking Source with Fluids & Snacks
3 magazines
Handgun
Competition Belt with Holster & Magazine Pouches
300+ Rounds of Ammo
Pen & Notepad
Instructor Certification Class
This five-day course covers lesson planning, preparing handouts, the use of electronic media, adult-learning concepts, preparing lecture material, public speaking, Instructor liabilities, and many other topics. Instructors must be able to pass a thorough lecture criteria. We do not issue certificates merely because you attend.
- You will only receive a certificate of successful completion by participating 100% in class. Being late, leaving early voluntary refusal to complete drills and other issues involving closed-mindedness will result in your not receiving a certificate for this course. A modified certificate will be mailed at a later date at your request.
- This course is only offered two times during the year
(The student is responsible to provide their own ammunition, firearm, and Range Fee for all classes.)
